EMPTY CRADLES: ISRAEL'S DISAPPEARED CHILDREN

September - December 2022
Brunei Gallery, London

Together with academics at Queen Mary, University London I curated this exhibition on the story of the 'Yemenite Children Affair' in which thousands of Yemenite, Middle Eastern, and Balkan children were forcibly separated from their parents by state authorities in the years before and after the establishment of the Israeli state in 1948. The exhibition is part of an AHRC-funded research project and features archival materials, film testimonies and a new commission from Israeli artist Tamar Nissim.
